Project 2020-05 Request for Proposal-Qualifications for Legal Services

 

The EVERETT HOUSING AUTHORITY (HA or EHA) is soliciting proposals for a Licensed Professional Legal Services for the ongoing daily operations of the agency and more specifically identified as unlawful detainer actions.

Firms interested in providing such service to the Everett Housing Authority must complete and submit a statement that substantiates or presents evidence of that firm's abilities and expertise in the areas defined in the selection criteria section of this document.  Submittals Due: March 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM

Scope of Services Include the following:

Regulations pertaining to Federal, State and local government, pertaining to housing, landlord/tenant law and contractual issues.

  • Initiation of unlawful detainer actions. EHA staff will normally prepare the initial notices when the action is based on unpaid rent.
  • Contested litigation (generally unlawful detainer)

The successful proposer will only be providing work pertaining to legal issues commonly addressed by a legal counsel and the successful proposer will not be requested to provide any non-legal program work such as those commonly provided by professional services consulting firms.

Vendors that are registered on the Housing Agency Marketplace will automatically receive notification of solicitations, addendums and bid results that EHA advertises thought its website. Proposals will be received for this project as required in the RFP, and the Procurement Policy of the Everett Housing Authority adopted November 2015 (copy available for review at www.evha.org, will be delivered as set forth above.
