Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance: Advanced Speed Heat Pumps

NEEA is seeking qualified contractors or teams of contractors to provide implementation services for NEEA’s Advanced Heat Pump Program.

In August of 2023, NEEA’s funders granted approval for NEEA to pursue a new market transformation program to accelerate market adoption of more advanced residential heat pumps, including ducted/central heat pumps. This new Advanced Heat Pump Program seeks/aims to remove market barriers and amplify market opportunities for heat pump products with low or no-cost advanced features and capabilities (“improvements”) that either improve equipment efficiency or the probability that the heat pump will be designed, installed, and operated in a way that improves energy efficiency of the whole system without compromising customer satisfaction.

The work of this Program will include ongoing field and lab verification of savings related to improvements, improving differentiation and identification of products with improvements in the market, and growing market share of these products.

Through this RFP, NEEA seeks to select one or more contractors to support the following Activities:

1.    Program Administration

2.    Strategic Partner Engagement

3.    Communications

4.    Research and Evaluation Support

5.    Improvement Research and Development

NEEA encourages respondents to bid and provide proven and creative solutions. All correspondence should be directed to Kaelin Oppedal, Program Coordinator (koppedal@neea.org). Intent to respond forms and bidder questions for clarification are due February 21, 2024, and proposals are due March 13, 2024.
