Sealed bids will be received at 3:00pm, Thursday March 3, 2022 by the City of Hoquiam for the following project: Olympic Stadium Repairs & Improvements – Phase 2, City of Hoquiam, Hoquiam, Washington. Location of Bid Opening: Finance Department, First Floor, Hoquiam City Hall, 609 8th Street, Hoquiam, WA 98550. Bids received by the above time, shall be opened publicly and read aloud at 3:10pm, March 3, 2022 in the Council Chambers, City Hall 3rd Floor.
DESCRIPTION: Olympic Stadium is a heavy timber structure completed in 1938 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Primary work consists of: the deteriorated east wall of the stadium will be rebuilt. Shingle siding will be replaced on the south side of the stadium. And new restroom(s) will be added to the main entry area.
FUNDING SOURCE: This project is partially funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Maximum funds available for construction are $900,000, which includes state sales tax.
