Reservoir Repainting Project - City of Raymond

RESERVOIR REPAINTING PROJECT    

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for construction of City of Raymond Water Reservoir Repainting, addressed to Director of Public Works, 300 First Street, Raymond, WA 98577, will be received at the office of the Public Works Department, City of Raymond, Washington, (Owner), until 10:00 a.m., local time, on the 30th day of June 2021. Any Bids received after the specified time will not be considered.

Bids will then be publicly opened and read at Raymond City Hall.

The Project contemplated consists of repainting and minor rehabilitation to Raymond’s existing 3-million gallon, 40-foot tall, welded steel water storage reservoir. Primarily, the Work includes blasting and repainting the interior and top-coating the exterior. Additionally, the Work includes adding safety rail to the top of the reservoir, replacement of the existing exterior ladder, retrofitting two existing vents with bug screen, other minor appurtenance replacements, site civil improvements and corrosion repair using welded-on steel plates.

The Work shall be substantially completed in all respects by August 6, 2022.

Bidding Documents may be examined in Owner’s office, Raymond Department of Public Works, 300 First Street, Raymond, WA 98577. Electronic copies of Bidding Documents consisting of Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the Builder’s Exchange of Washington website for Public Works’ Open Projects http://www.bxwa.com/bxwa_toc/pub/1287.html. Supplemental materials that may include photos or past video inspections may be viewed at the Owner’s office during normal business hours. 

Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form, accompanied by Bid security, and inclusive of the other documentation prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and insurance prescribed in the Bidding Documents.

In order to submit a Bid on public work, Bidders and their Subcontractors shall hold such licenses and registrations as required by Revised Code of Washington, and federal and local Laws and Regulations.

Bidders will be required to comply with State of Washington RCW 39.30.060 relating to identification of Subcontractors.

This Project is partially funded through the Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program with federal funds from the Environmental Protection Agency. General contractors and all subcontractors must meet DWSRF requirements and provisions.
