Water System Improvements

INVITATION FOR BIDS

General: Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Riverside, located at 101 N. Main Street, Riverside, WA 98849, until 3:00 P.M., March 15, 2019 for the general contract for installation of a new water main leading from near the Town’s water tank and connecting to the Town’s existing water system on the west side of Highway 97.

The Base Bid will include the installation of 700-feet of new 10-inch water main with fittings, and relocation of an existing fire hydrant and water meter, in both Town of Riverside and WSDOT right-of-way.  Bid Alternates will include: 1) Converting the 10-inch water main and fittings to 8-inch water main and fittings.

Bidding documents for the project were prepared by Forsgren Associates, Inc.

Availability of Bidding Documents: Bona fide general contractors may view the contract documents at the offices of Forsgren Associates, Inc., located at 112 Olds Station Road, Suite A, Wenatchee, WA 98801; (509) 667-1426. Documents are also available at the Wenatchee Plans Center, Tri City Construction Council, Yakima Plan Center and on line at Quest CDN eBidDoc #6122112. All interested contractors should sign up with Quest CDN (https://www.questcdn.com/) as any addendums or other notifications will be issued directly by them.

Bid Security: A certified or bank cashier’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the Town of Riverside, or bid bond executed by a licensed bonding company is required with each bid.

Rejection of Bids: The Town shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. The Town also reserves the right to reject all bids should the bid amount exceed the Town’s available funds. As there will be bid alternates, the lowest responsible bidder will be determined based upon the best combination of base bid and bid alternates that fit within the Town’s available resources and best interests.

Special Requirements: All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates. This project is partially funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of housing and Urban Development.
