Reservoir No. 1 Replacement Rebid - City of Morton

CITY OF MORTON

RESERVOIR NO. 1 REPLACEMENT REBID

 

Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Morton, City Hall, 250 Main Avenue, Morton, Washington  98356, up to 1:00 p.m.; local time on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct Reservoir No. 1 Replacement Rebid.

The Work shall include demolition and removal of the existing 55-foot diameter by 30‑foot tall concrete reservoir and site piping, regrading the reservoir site, and constructing a new glass lined bolted steel reservoir 78 feet in diameter by ± 19 feet tall, and associated site piping, valves, appurtenances, site access, and site fencing.

The Work shall be substantially complete within 90 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.  All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Morton Washington.

The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above.  Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents.  All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to the “City of Mortonand in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.

Bid Documents may be examined at the office of the City of Morton, or the office of the Project Engineer, Gray & Osborne, Inc.  Bid Documents for this project are available free-of-charge at the following website:  “http://gobids.grayandosborne.com”.  Bidders are encouraged to “Register” in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List”.  For assistance, please call (206) 284‑0860.  

Any questions regarding the Contract Documents can be directed to Patrick Gill, Project Engineer at Gray & Osborne, Inc.’s Olympia office ((360) 292-7481).  If necessary, questions will be answered via Addendum.

A Prebid Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2018.  The conference will begin at the City of Morton, City Hall, 250 Main Avenue, Morton, Washington at 11:00 a.m. (local time).  Prospective bidders are encouraged to participate.  No unauthorized visits or unscheduled visits will be allowed.

Planholder is required to obtain Contract Addenda.  Contract questions shall be directed only to the office of the Project Engineer.

American Iron and Steel requirements as defined in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014, P.L. 113-76, applies to this Project.

The Contractor shall provide certification or assurance of compliance with American Iron and Steel (AIS) signed by the Tank Manufacturer with the Proposal.

Financing of the Project has been provided by City of Morton, Washington and Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) with Federal Funds from Environmental Protection Agency.  The City of Morton expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City.
