INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

Sealed bids will be received by Asotin County Fire Protection District 1, located at 2314 Appleside

Blvd, Clarkston, WA, until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, for the general contract for

construction of a 200’ x 80’ pre-engineered steel building addition to an existing pre-engineered steel building. At owner’s discretion a partial remodel of the existing facility may be included. The project includes electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, carpentry, flooring, siding and roofing. Minor sitework includes utility trenching, footing excavation and backfill and sidewalks.

 

Bidding documents for the project were prepared by Brotnov Architecture & Planning in Clarkston.

Availability of Bidding Documents: Bona fide general contractors may obtain the contract documents electronically by emailing Jerry Brotnov at Brotarch@gmail.com. Copies of the contract documents may be examined at the following locations: Asotin County Fire Protection District 1, 2314 Appleside Blvd in Clarkston and at the following Plan Centers: Tri-Cities, Lewis and Clark, Spokane Regional and Abadan Regional.

 

Pre-Bid Conference: A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for March 13th at 1:00 p.m. at the job site located at 2377 Appleside Blvd., Clarkston, WA.

 

Bid Security: A certified or bank cashier’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to Asotin County Fire District 1, or bid bond executed by a licensed bonding company is required with each bid.

 

Rejection of Bids: The Fire Department shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular.

 

All bidders and subcontractors must apply for a Duns number and register with the Federal Sams Program (System for Award Management) and be licensed through Washington State Labor and Industries to begin any work on the project.

This project is partially funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program. Bid Opening: The bids will be publicly opened at 4 P.M. P.S.T., April 2nd, 2019, at the offices of Asotin County Fire District 1, 2314 Appleside Blvd, Clarkston, WA and read aloud.
