TOWN OF FAIRFIELD - REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS TO FURNISH ENGINEERING SERVICES

Prairie View Road Sidewalk

The Town of Fairfield is inviting statements of qualifications and performance information from consulting firms interested in providing professional engineering services for the Prairie View Road Sidewalk Project.  This agreement will be for approximately 24 months in duration with the option for the Town of Fairfield to extend it for additional time and money if necessary.

The Town of Fairfield reserves the right to amend terms of this “Request for Qualifications” (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for improvements to Prairie View Road from 2nd Street to 5th Street. The proposed improvements primarily include new sidewalk and curb ramp improvements.

The major features of the project are as follows:

• Approximately 740 feet of new 5-ft concrete sidewalk. (3rd St. to 5th Street)

• Replace segment of undermined sidewalk and replace non-ADA compliant curb ramps (2nd St to 3rd Street.)

• Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications.

The Town of Fairfield reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases associated with this project.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria:

1) Qualification of Proposed Project Manager and Key Personnel

2) Qualifications/Expertise of Firm

3) Ability to meet schedule

4) Approach to project

5) Familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards

6) Past Performance/References

SUBMITTAL

Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone, and fax numbers; name of principal-in-charge and project manager; and number of employees in each firm proposed for this project. Submittals may not exceed 12 pages, not including cover letter and dividers.

Please submit FOUR copies of your Statement of Qualifications to: Town of Fairfield, 218 E Main, P.O. Box 334 Fairfield, WA 99012, no later than 3:00 p.m. on April 23, 2026.
